Can I hire the Botanist Box on a cash basis?
Absolutely! There is a small deposit to pay to guarantee the date, and there is a minimum spend required, but once this amount is reached, you will be refunded your deposit. All staff, a fully stocked bar and the box is included within the minimum spend. Any underpayment is required on the day, but you will have all figures to hand before booking the Box.
Do you offer a subsidised coffee bar?
We do indeed! We can provide a set number of complimentary drinks and then your guests can buy what ever else they would like to drink.
What about a pre-paid coffee bar?
Your guests won’t pay for a single drink when you offer this option. You can either pay a fixed cost per head or run a tab for the duration of the event (which you can top up if required).
Can I choose my drinks?
It wouldn’t be your event if we chose them, so please do let us know what you would like and we will do our best to meet your needs.
Do you do alcoholic drinks?
This is definitely an option and we can work with you to decide which drinks you would like. We specialise in both hot and cold coffee cocktails mainly, but we can also offer spirits and cider. Cocktails can also be discussed, but we keep them to a maximum of on the menu.
Do you have insurance?
As a professional company we take every event very seriously. Our public liability insurance and employer liability are both £10 million. Feel free to contact us if you would like to see a copy.
Do I need an alcohol licence to hire you?
No, we hold a personal licence, and if your venue does not have a premises licence, we can apply for a Temporary Event Notice, but we need a minimum of 10 days.
Do I need to provide water and electricity?
We do have our own silent generator and can provide water, but if these are available at the venue, it definitely helps as the generator does still make some background noise.
Do you have glass or plastic glasses?
We can offer either and we can dispose of the plastic if required as we have our own compost heap!
